The Roo Express Shuttle

University of Akron students, faculty, and staff can ride free* on all METRO fixed-routes by simply swiping their Zip Card in the farebox.

Roo Express operates on 15–20-minute frequency so you’re never waiting long.

Summer hours: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

School year hours: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Just pay your regular fare or swipe your Zip Card.

New Look

A smaller, purple METRO bus is your ride around campus. Look for METRO’s University of Akron bus stop signs to board.

*The Zip Card can be used on METRO’s Northcoast Express routes to Cleveland to receive a $1 discount. The Zip Card is not valid on METRO Select services (METRO Drives, formerly SCAT, Call-A-Bus, or FlexRide).

365 Days of Service

METRO offers bus service 365 days a year. Service may be limited on the holidays. Visit yourmetrobus.org for schedules.
