Before you visit, please review your parking options and select the one that best suits your needs. If you are not sure, just give us a call. We are happy to walk you through your options. All vehicles parked on campus must have a valid parking permit, park in Sphere-equipped lots, or park in visitor garages and pay prevailing hourly rates. If you are visiting campus for more than a few hours, your best option is to purchase a one-day permit (details below).
Getting to campus
Prospective students and Office of Admissions visitors
Visit the Office of Admissions website to plan a visit and request special Admissions parking.
UAkronPark Office

Anyone visiting the UAkronPark Office is advised to park in the gated visitor parking garage on Buchtel Avenue (directly across from the UAkronPark office/North Campus Parking Deck). You will scan one of the QR codes conveniently posted around the lot and must pay for parking via Sphere/Parking.com. If the visitor lot is full, then legal parking may be found in an alternative Sphere-equipped lot.
Unfortunately, UAkronPark can not reimburse you for Sphere transactions.
Parking options for visitors
One-day pass | A daily guest permit is available for purchase via iParq. This permit allows you to park in any commuter or all permit lot. One-day permits are not valid in the visitor lot or at Sphere-only locations.
Gated visitor lot | You can park in our gated visitor parking garage located on 248 E. Buchtel Ave. under the Robertson Dining Hall and across the street from the UAkronPark Office. You will scan one of the QR codes conveniently posted around the lot and must pay for parking via Sphere/Parking.com. The rate is $2.00/hr + $0.35 transaction fee. If you have been provided with with a parking validation code, you will be able to redeem it at the end of the Parking.com transaction.

Parking meters are monitored 24 hours a day. No person shall park a vehicle in a metered area without depositing coins for parking.
